  1. Dear Mark:

I just went through your website, blog material and course description letter (yes, it was long, but worth it) and I have two words: Thank You. I’ve been out of the loop for a while, and revisited your site to get caught up. You presented (freely and honestly) every question I have ever thought of re: getting started and/or surviving in this business. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to share your experience with others — know that you’ve inspired me to stick with it. Thanks again for sharing your story, your process and your inspiration!! I look forward to getting back to SCBWI meetings and conferences this year! See you soon.

  2. Hi there…this is probably a longshot….but I’m wondering how I could help my daughter get a high school co-op credit, illustrating someone else’s children’s book. We live near Toronto, Canada. She has actually helped me illustrate a few products for me in our little Catholic publishing company. (We just released our latest product….she sketched the 42 saints in the craft kit here: http://www.equippingcatholicfamilies.com )
are there any illustrator/author associations we could tap into?
thanks for any help you can give me! Monica mmcconkey a t rogers d o t com

  3. Hello Mark,

How are you? I am gettin´some problems to watch the online webinar Intro to Photoshop Art-Making: Vector and Paint because Steve is explaining the techniques, but the action at the PS screen has a
delay. What can I do?. I believe is because here, in Venezuela, the internet connection is pretty poor. So, I wish to know if this webinar is able to be downloaded by a direct download, or at Dropbox. I really would like to watch this webinar because is pretty interesting. I´m a graphic designer, but I am trying to learn more about digital illustration. Your website is awesome, and it is a great source of inspiration. So please, I beg your help, and try to help me from there.

    Thanks a lot!
    God bless you.

PS: If I can´t download the webinar, exist in PDF format file?

  4. Hello this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to
get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

    • I suggest starting with a WordPress.com — like this one is. It’s not WYSIWYG exactly but it’s an easy content management system and free. Later after you’ve got the hang of it you can move to a WordPress.org blog if you like.
